How to Reboot Your Wireless Radio

The most common fix for wireless Internet service issues is to reboot the Casair radio at your location.

To reboot the radio, first locate the power over ethernet (POE) adapter. There are many models of POE adapters, but they are generally smaller than your router, about the size of a deck of cards or an ice cream sandwich. It may or may not have a Casair sticker on it, but should always say POE or Power over Ethernet on it somewhere.

1) Unplug the power cable from the POE adapter. You can either unplug the power cord from the POE or from the wall. You can unplug the cord from either the POE or the outlet. If you are using a power strip, DO NOT unplug the whole power strip or use the on/off switch on the power strip to unplug everything at once.

2) Leave the POE unplugged for at least 15-20 seconds, or about the time to hum “Happy Birthday.”

3) Plug the power cord back into the POE.

4) Wait at least 5 minutes for the radio to reboot and reconnect to the tower.

That’s it! You have rebooted the wireless radio.

If you are still having issues, or cannot connect to the Internet, you may need to reboot your router as well by unplugging the electrical cord for 15-20 seconds and plugging it back in.
