When opening Thunderbird for the first time, choose Manual Setup.
If you want to add your Casair email to Thunderbird after the initial install, you can find the account settings by pressing the Alt key, then choosing Tools -> Account Settings
If you need more direction to getting to the Account Settings area, refer to Mozilla’s support for Thunderbird here.
In the Account Settings window, choose Add Mail Account from the Account Actions Menu
Enter your name, email address, and password, then click Continue.
Next, click Manual Config at the bottom of the page.
Now you can fill in the server information to connect your account.
- The Incoming Server can be IMAP or POP3. Regardless, the server name is pop3.casair.net and the port should be 143.
- The Outgoing Server is smtp.casair.net, usually on port 465.
- The Username is your full email address, for both incoming and outgoing servers.
- When finished, click Done. Thunderbird may require you to click Re-test first, then let you click Done.
That’s it – your Casair email account should now be available in Thunderbird.
